Promotion of seed bank
A seed bank of traditional seeds has been established through the support extended by Dr. shri Malpani, Mumbai. Traditional seeds of Wheat Kudrat 17, Kudrat 11, Pigeon-pea Kudrat 3 & Black bean has been brought from Shri Raghuvanshi from Sanchi in MP. All the seeds are of very good quality traditional seeds provided to 75 farmers during the year. We have recollected the seeds of 46 quintals of wheat, one quintal of pigeon-pea & 3 kg of black bean seed those will again be provided to the farmers for replication. Apart from these seeds we have conserved seeds of bitter guard, & some other vegetable seeds. Seeds of Papaya, Dorka, Lady’s finger, Melon, Cucumber, Rajgira, Barbati(red), Barbati(black), Chili, Green gram, Black gram & Maize have also been procured from shri Raghuvanshi & will be replicated by provided to the farmers of the area.
